We were so disappointed that Honu discontinued their very excellent summer brunch, and are delighted to see a limited-time appearance email crop up in our inbox announcing that they were doing it again, if only for a day.
The Benedicts we had last time were flawless, so we can imagine their skirt steak rendition will be every bit as good as the Maine lobster ones we flipped over. Crab cakes and avocado as a Benedict also sounds indecently delicious. Braised short rib hash is just a good idea, and who can resist the call of a wild mushroom and honey goat cheese omelet? I mean, really.
Salads are also on offer; a Waldorf chicken with a croissant (genius) and smoked salmon with spinach. And don’t forget, they’ll kindly let you sub veggies for ‘taters if you ask nicely. 😉
